Changa has been designed to blend in with the environment using natural materials. The camp furniture has been built using Zimbabwe’s finest teak and the bar has been fashioned around the hull of an old boat.

“Changa Safari Camp proved to be a perfect location for observing wildlife and for enjoying the natural wonders of the area including a boat excursion into the gorges and even some successful fishing. The staff are the most friendly and welcoming you could imagine and the meals that they produce would do any fine dining restaurant proud. Our private guide and the camp guides ensured that there was no shortage of exhilarating and varied wild life experiences. Changa is not as formal as some other camps and it has a more relaxed approach. The facilities are luxurious but this does not detract from the wilderness experience as the sounds of the bush are ever present and wild life can often be viewed from the camp.”
TripAdvisor Review, June 2016
Changa Safari Camp’s cuisine will certainly be a highlight of your stay. Using only fresh ingredients, the taste and presentation of each dish, will leave you looking forward to the next meal. Breakfast and lunch are both served al fresco on the main elevated deck either under the shaded thatched open air dining room or under the Zig-zag terminalia tree overlooking the private beach and shoreline. We serve an afternoon tea with a selection of teas, local coffee and a sweet treat. A candle-lit dinner will be served with the beat of the drum at 7.30pm at a different location each night of your stay.
Should you have any dietary requirements please do let us know at the time of your booking and we would be happy to accommodate these.
The open-air lounge area is comfortably furnished with inviting leather chairs and sofas, shaded by a thatch roof with bursts of colour from the individually designed mosaic tiles.
